Justrite Horizontal Circa 1919, Liberty Feed model with
the rare unadvertised rubber-gasket oval water door.
Decorated with fancy scrollwork and Patent Pending, this
unique water door was only produced for a brief period
of time. The Liberty Feed was officially added in 1919,
it had been used the year before with unmarked water
levers. The Liberty Feed was phased out by 1921. This
lamp appeared about the time the ribbed base started to
appear & most likely should be displayed with a ribbed
base, rather than the beaded base it currently sits on.
The previous folks who had this lamp apparently replaced
the original tip with a newer push-in tip. |
